Our values and ethos

At WE DO JUSTICE Community Interest Company, our work is guided by a deep commitment to justice, compassion, and service to others.

The inspiration for our organisation’s name comes from the well-known Bible verse Micah 6:8, which calls us:

“To act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly.”

These principles shape both our mission and the way we seek to serve individuals and communities.

While our values are rooted in Biblical teaching, our services are open and accessible to everyone, regardless of faith, background, or personal circumstances. We believe that the principles of justice, dignity, fairness, and compassion are universal and benefit society as a whole.

Acting Justly

We believe every person deserves to be treated fairly and with dignity.

Many individuals face situations where they feel unheard, uncertain, or overwhelmed. Our role is to help people better understand their circumstances by providing clear information, guidance, and signposting to appropriate sources of help and support.

Our aim is to empower people to make informed decisions and pursue constructive pathways forward.

Loving Mercy

Compassion and understanding are central to the way we work.

We recognise that those who seek our support may be experiencing stress, uncertainty, or difficulty in accessing help elsewhere. We therefore approach every enquiry with empathy, patience, and respect.

Our services are designed to be accessible and affordable so that people can receive practical guidance without unnecessary barriers.

Walking Humbly

Humility is an important part of our approach.

We acknowledge the limits of our role and operate with honesty and integrity. While we do not provide legal advice, we seek to support individuals by helping them identify possible next steps and directing them towards appropriate professionals and organisations who may be able to assist them further.

We aim to work alongside people in a respectful and supportive way, recognising that each person’s circumstances are unique.

Serving Our Communities

Our commitment is to contribute positively to the wellbeing of our communities by:

  • Providing accessible information and guidance

  • Encouraging informed decision-making

  • Supporting individuals who may feel uncertain about where to turn

  • Promoting fairness, respect, and dignity for all

Through these efforts we seek, in a practical way, to reflect the spirit of justice, mercy, and humility that underpins our values.

Our Commitment

At WE DO JUSTICE CIC, we strive to ensure that everyone who engages with our organisation feels:

  • Respected

  • Listened to

  • Encouraged

  • Better informed about their options

By working together with individuals, communities, and partner organisations, we aim to play a small but meaningful role in helping people move forward with confidence and hope.
